Sometimes good enough is not good enough.

Sometimes good enough is not good enough.

Although there was an increase in payroll from previous months, one should not have the illusion that the US economy is on an upswing or that the state of the union is dramatically improving. According to the article, Private payrolls grow by 428,000 but miss expectations, ADP report says by Jeff Cox, the hospitality and leisure industries were ahead regarding new jobs; followed by education and health care (Sept, 2020). Is all that glitters gold? What are your thoughts? Do you feel more comfortable regarding your economic future or do you still feel the pit of uncertainty at the core of your being? Share your thoughts. What say you? Should we expect more from the economy or should we be grateful for what we have? #leadership #wealthmanagement #covid-19 #training #letsdothis #amlbd

What is an important live lesson you were reminded of during COVID-19?

Having already experienced tough and trying days, and knowing that more are still to come, we are reminded daily of those who are risking their lives to ensure our safety, health, and security during #COVID-19. People are still becoming ill at an alarming rate and although some may say that there is an end in sight, there are discussions of a resurgence of COVID-19 in the summer and/or fall of 2020. Mankind is strong and if nothing else, ingenious. Examples include inventions to help our front line and healthcare workers be safe, neighbors providing clean water and supplies to the homeless, and the list goes on. Share your thoughts. What are some important life lessons you were reminded of during COVID-19? What made them memorable? What has inspired you? Maybe what inspired you will now inspire someone else to act or change. What say you?
COVID-19 is here to stay. What does your future look like?

COVID-19 is here to stay. What does your future look like?

To use the word surreal to describe the state of the US economy and society is a terrible understatement in comparison to reality. It is going to be some time before we feel comfortable to have social gatherings, let alone stand fewer than 6 feet apart from our friends, family, loved ones, and peers. One can only speculate that the days standing around the office water cooler are numbered at best. Microsoft teams, along with any other virtual team app is the new social norm and way to interact with each other. The effects associated with #COVID-19 will be felt by many for months to come. So now what? What is the new norm? Share your thoughts. Let us know what your future looks like post COVID-19. Provide recommendations on how to survive, pivot, and thrive during and post COVID-19. American Management and Leadership by Design (AMLD) would love to get this dialogue started.
